Champion Tour - Pom Poko
Pom Poko’s first proper North American tour stretched across four weeks and both coasts, and I joined them with three cameras and a pile of film. Somewhere along the way, I stopped feeling like just the photographer and more like part of the band. We pushed through a blizzard on the East Coast, took in surreal views out west, and played a lot of strange and wonderful venues in between. I tried to stay close to the moments that felt honest - off-stage, in transit, backstage, or wherever things felt most alive. Chasing the energy, trying to bottle a bit of it before it was gone.
