Bite Me
We set out to create two distinct visual worlds for this music video, paying homage to the irony and aesthetic of early 2000s comedies and MTV. For the dream sequences, we leaned into the nostalgic warmth of 16mm - grainy, saturated, and reminiscent of childhood memories. In contrast, the dentist office scenes, inspired by films like Office Space, were captured on 35mm to evoke the sharper, more sterile feel of adulthood.
Working with just two rolls of 7219 and a single 300-foot short end of 5219, every take had to count. The constraints pushed our crew to be hyper-focused and intentional with every frame. It was both humbling and energizing - an experience that reminded me why I love shooting on film.
